Walk & Talks

Our Walk & Talk programme is expanding and we have exciting plans for our weekend adventures and experiences.

2023 was a busy year for Space to Talk, we established our base at Delapré Abbey, developed our Cumbria base to offer longer weekend retreats and nature therapy and, towards the end of the year we developed and delivered Cycle with Confidence courses.

We are determined to keep this pace as with kick off 2024 with our expanded walk and talk programme. Our core Delapré Abbey group will continue to meet weekly at the Coach House and offer walks, group meetings and Nordic Walking.

During times when Delapré Abbey was unavailable due to special events, we used Hunsbury Hill Park as an alternative site. The positive feedback from clients who joined these walks has been encouraging. Following discussions with the local Parish Council we are delighted to now be able to open a new group and offer Walk & Talks at Hunsbury Hill. The group will meet fortnightly at Parsons Mead Community Hub, West Hunsbury, NN4 9PS. First meeting will be on Saturday 13th January.

Expanding beyond Northampton, we're adding walks at Daventry Country Park to our itinerary. These walks, happening fortnightly, will start at the park's cafe/coffee shop. This is a great location for a walk with an easy / flat circular route around the reservoir followed by tea/coffee at the cafe.

Discover Nature at Your Own Pace: Inclusive, Guided Outdoor Adventures for Every Level.

Building on the success of our 2023 wellbeing weekends, we have exciting plans for 2024 to expand our activities and venture further into the nature available to us from our Cumbria base in Crosby Garrett. As part of this focus we have launched a new programme Space Outdoors, to develop and expand our outdoor activities and experiences. We have also launched a new website to better communicate our outdoor programme

Our objective is to enable people to explore nature at their own pace with peaceful walks and engaging challenges, suitable for all interests and fitness levels. We aim to allow people to experience the outdoors in a welcoming and safe environment. From peaceful nature walks to engaging outdoor challenges, we are building a program which caters to various interests and fitness levels.

Our first activity weekend for 2024 is already confirmed for March (15th to 17th), and can be booked now.
